Your love NEVER fails

The impact of music. I never knew how much a simple song could really bring change in ones life until today. Today I went grocery shopping for Fatherheart and took 3 of the girls with me. All 3 have had a very rough past and have ran from God. As we were on our way to Sams I hooked up my ipod and we began to listening to "Your Love Never Fails" by Jesus Culture. Please read the lyrics of the WHOLE song.

Nothing can separate
Even if I ran away
Your love never fails

I know I still make mistakes
But You have new mercies for me everyday
Your love never fails

Chorus:
You stay the same through the ages
Your love never changes
There may be pain in the night but joy comes in the morning

And when the oceans rage
I don't have to be afraid
Because I know that You love me
Your love never fails

Verse 2:
The wind is strong and the water's deep
But I'm not alone in these open seas
Cause Your love never fails

The chasm is far too wide
I never thought I'd reach the other side
But Your love never fails

Bridge:
You make all things work together for my good

So as the song is playing I look to my right then look in my rearview mirror and realize all three of these girls are singing this song. And it hits me. Listen to what this song is declaring. Every single verse and chorus is declaring that even though we have messed up... He makes all things work together for MY good. Just a few months ago these girls were running the streets and hanging with the wrong crowd. And now here they are at Fatherheart worshiping Him and singing out to Him.

And so it's really bigger than just a song. It's you who makes it possible for not only me but all the staff at Fatherheart to keep Fatherheart going because when these girls come through the gates of Fatherheat, they may think they are coming to just a maternity home (I did), but they are really entering into the Lords presence and seeds are going to be planted!! THANK YOU

Christmas in July

Our little tree

Our fire place. See the candle?
This week at Fatherheart we have been doing "love dares." A love dare is something we do once a month here at Fatherheart. Each month is based on a different principles in the bible. For example, in the past we have had the power of the tongue, servant hood, and the power of two's. This week we really felt to do it on JOY! Monday we focused on a joyful heart, Tuesday we focused on SERVING with a joyful heart, Wednesday on a joyful tongue, Thursday was a joyful giver and last but not least was Friday and we focused on a joyful worshiper. In which we would celebrate Christmas in JULY
Hannah... Due tomorrow!

As I was on my way to town to purchase Christmas gifts :) I was listening to David Crowder Band "How He Loves Us." Now I have heard that song SO many times and I KNOW the lyrics. But as it was playing my eyes began to water and I heard those lyrics like never before. "He is Jealous for ME!" For me, for you, for the girls here at Fatherheart. The Lord just began to go through each lyric in that song and express to me on how much He loves these Fatherheart girls. And each time a new girl comes into Fatherheart (we got one today) He shakes with JOY because as they enter the gates of Fatherheart, they are entering the Lords garden and seeds are about to be planted!!

So this afternoon as we began our Christmas celebration I was able to share with the girls what the Lord spoke to me this morning. I printed out a copy of the lyrics and went over them. Then we listened to the song. OH HOW HE LOVES US!!! OOO how he loves YOU... He is JEALOUS... His love is like a HURRICANE!!  The girls were really touched. One of the girls even came up to me afterwards and told me that she drew me a picture yesterday and felt she should put scripture on it but she didn't. Then as I was speaking this evening she knew she should of because what I was sharing had to do with the verse God gave her to put on my picture.
GOD IS GOOD and He is moving here at Fatherheart.
I hope this touches your heart as it did mine and thanks so much for investing in the lives here at Fatherheart.

Let The Journey Begin....

Two years ago I felt God calling me to come on staff as a full-time missionary at Youth With a Mission and to serve at Fatherheart Maternity Home. And here I am two years later ready to do what God has led me to do. I have made plans for my future, and the never happened. But this time was different. I heard God's plan, submitted, and now He has brought me to this point in my life.

My heart is to show these girls at Fatherheart that even though they are going through a hard time with there family, boyfriend, or just dealing with the emotions of being pregnant, they can know that there is hope for there future. The bible says in Revelation 12:11 "they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony." My desire is that these girls will see a hope in their future because of all that God has done in my life.  The word REDEMPTION means so much to me now, and I really want to show these girls that they are loved, they are forgiven, they have a Father who loves them unconditionally, and they ARE redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ.

I wanted to start a blog and just keep you guys updated more frequently on all the amazing things God is doing here at Fatherheart and what you guys are investing in. Love you all and thanks SOO much for all of your prayers and support.
